Using the atlas

Drag to travel, pinch to zoom, and tap a destination to open its story. The compass menu offers filters and settings. The browser’s Destinations list also lets you search. Daily Quiz and Achievements have their own map icons.

Content and offline use

An internet connection is needed to download photos and the daily quiz. Downloaded content is cached on your device. The atlas can still open with its local metadata and map artwork when you are offline. If online content fails to load, check your connection and try again.

Daily quiz and reminders

Five questions are available each UTC day. Reminder times, when you choose to enable them, follow your device’s local time zone. Notifications stop for a completed quiz. You can turn reminders off in the quiz toolbar or iOS Settings.

Progress and Game Center

The browser keeps progress in its own local storage and does not sync it with iOS. Clearing site data removes this progress. Game Center and local notification reminders are available in the iOS app. Quiz progress and discovery achievements are stored on your device. Game Center is optional. Removing the app may remove your local progress. The 33rd Victory achievement celebrates exploration of the app.
